I visited Austin last weekend, and a friend and I drove out to the hill country to look at Christmas lights. Johnson City has an amazing display of lights. The JC courthouse is draped in lights, and dozens of trees in front of the Pedernales Electric Co. are wrapped head to toe in lights. It's quite something to see.
The next day we went to the Luminations festival at the Wildflower Center. It was pretty, but not quite as photogenic. Very cold too, and more crowded than Johnson City was. Not sure I would go back, but it was fun to do once.
I also bought a new hat in Blanco. :) It was really windy that day, and my hat kept trying to fly away.
All in all, a fun trip!
